Finnair and Czech Airlines step up code sharing of flights
FINNAIR and Czech Airlines have extended their code share cooperation by offering better connections between Helsinki and Prague and beyond, according to the Aviation Tribune.
Starting last week on March 17, Finnair's AY code will be added to flights between Helsinki and Prague operated by Czech Airlines, as well as to Czech Airlines flights between Prague and Ostrava in the Czech Republic, Kosice in Slovakia and Bucharest in Romania. Czech Airlines' OK code is already included on all Finnair's flights between Helsinki and Prague.
"These code shares bring improved connections and more choice for Finnair customers, and extend the reach of Finnair's network", according to Finnair vice president Mikko Turtiainen.
Said Czech Airlines marketing director Jan Toth: hanks to the extension of co-operation with Finnair on a code-share basis, we are both able to offer customers up to three connections between Prague and Helsinki a day effective the start of coming summer season."
